So I waited this long to share my thoughts on the finale because I didnt want to be one of those crazy fangirls who jump on the internet and hammer at their keyboard till it and their hands break. That said;

Okay.
So, there is some negative and there is some positive. Overall, I enjoyed the episode. It was an episode of my favourite show, so of course I enjoyed it. I think some good things happened, I think some shitty things happened and I think so absofuckinglutely horrible things happened.
So, I dont have too much of a problem with the little errors in logistics. Like, say, for example, how fuckmazingly lax the Sekrit Serviss is about EVERYTHING. Thats okay, lets just have Claire walk up to someone all "O hay, my daddy Nathan Petrelli is sumwhurr, can you liek, go find him?" When I had to deal with bitchasaurusrex back in S1 because she was all "Oh, whine, my super rich, super stud bio-daddy wants to send me away to Paris to go experience culture and the most beautiful city/country in the world so that no one knows I exist. Whine." Imma throw this out there. If I found out I actually had a dad whowas loaded, and was willing to get to know me at a later, conveninent date, I'd go where ever he sent me so long as it was interesting. Because really, hon, the alternative is NOT KNOWING YOUR GOD DAMN DAD. So now that she's pretty much dicked the whole SUPER SEEKRIT DAUGHTER thing, what the god damn fuck!
Also, how is it that the Sekrit Serviss was so cool with, a, two Nathans, wtf, and b, Nathan all Oh, I'll just hover here a sec, and then we'll just fuck all your safety protocols to shit and sneak the president out through the kitchen! Oh, and on that note, how did the Peter = Prez thing happen? I'll come back to this in part.
Im getting really pissd off with Hiro. I think his brain should break and he should die. This sounds super harsh of me, but he's just being a petulant child 24/7, so much that I just dont enjoy his screen time anymore.
I would have liked more screen time for Mohinder, and better use of the time he did get. Every time someone goes "You're a doctor, right?" and then he tries to be all medical, I feel like throwing things. YOU ARE NOT THAT KIND OF DOCTOR. AUGH. Its like...the prettier he gets, the dumber he gets. (No offence, Mo.)
How did Sylar fly? I know everyone is all "Oh, durr, he's hovering with telekenisis." Uhm, no, no I dont think so. Beyond that, wtf was with last episode and all the hostility. Im pretty sure they met all of twice, and yeah, I can understand Nathan being all "RAWR I HAT U." But Sylar was acting like Nathan stole his girlfriend in highschool or something.
Im disappointed with the entire character death thing. Dont get me wrong, I'm no stranger to it. But its like they tried to kill off a character, then thought better of it, and they've only managed to half kill off two characters. Point the first, that shit has barely even gotten off the ground and we know that Sythan is going to revert back to good ol' ZQ. Point the second, they made a point of not telling us what they did with Nathan's body, so I assume that means its in cold storage untill someone remembers about the GOD DAMN FUCKING REGENERATIVE CHEERLEADER AUCH. NOAH. REMEMBER WHEN YOU GOT SHOT IN THE FUCKING EYE? And there better not be any bullshit about keeping Claire safe from the imagery of Dead Daddy, because she has already dealt with a Dead Daddy before. SHE'S GOT TWO.
Im in love with Angela and everything, but I think its safe to say that she's joined Mohinder on the "occasionally dumb as a post" front. But I can put that aside to say that Christine Rose acted the shit out of her scenes. It was like a punch to the face made of pure awesome.
OH AND ALSO. Sylar's transformation power. About that. So, to be clear, Sylar puts on a suit. He transforms into Nathan, wearing that same suit. Then he transforms back, but is wearing street clothes. O....kay. I can dig it. Then he transforms into Nathan, wearing the clothes that Nathan is wearing then. Then he transforms back into himself, wearing his street clothes. Then he transforms into Nathan, still wearing his street clothes. SODS:LDGKAL:DFGJALSDKGJALDKFGJALDKGJASDKLGJDFKGLJAD AUUUUUCCCHCHH. YOU CANNOT DIVIDE BY ZERO.
This is why they killed off Candice back in the day. Because transformation powers are stupid. Charmed had half a season devoted to them before they realized what kind of grave they were digging themselves into. Transformations lead into inconsistencies, and further, plotholes. This show has more holes than the average Quebec road, and the Quebecquois guv'ment fucking sucks at road repair.
Now. Things that I liked, because I did like some things. Well. Something.
Peter.
Done and done.
Okay, okay. Reasons, yeesh. I think its safe to say that everyone, their dog, and the pideons outside their window (Im onto you, Claude.) knows that Peter is my all time favourite character. But really, everything about him was badass in this episode. Every line was full of snark and it was glorious. Didnt miss a beat. I loved the scene in the limo where he's posing as the Prez, then BAM! syringe to the neck! Then that awesome lean into the screen, and omg, that expression. Seriously. Innappropriate things ensued. Ahem. Also, the third time watching it, I caught the little WHOOSH as they leant in. It was good, I fangirled. Moving on. What I love about Peter as that you can see definite character growth. Yeah, he's made some mistakes, but he's learning from it, and he's growing, and Im genuinely interested in seeing how he grows from here.
Also, the whole "I love you Pete." "I love you too Nathan." scene destroyed me. I loved it. I love that after everything, they can still come back to that love in the end, and they arent so macho about it where its all "WE R MENS. GRRRRR." Isimply adore thier dynamic. They have been through everything together, and they've always come back to eachother.
All in all, I will stick with this show till the end. But its on notice. If I wanted to be abused by my fandom, I'd still be watching Supernatural. I have faith that everything will turn out by mid Volume Five, and until then, I'll be content to rewrite history to serve my own fangirlish purposes.
